San Diego – Part Two (2008)

San Diego Trip II for 2008 (or “Let’s do it all over again with Mommy and Justin.”)

This trip got a little busy.  Daddy picked the wrong dates, so instead of going when the crowds were small, we went during the busiest time of the year.  We started at Disney, down to San Diego, back up to Disney, and back down to San Diego.  In all – 5 hotels over 13 days.  Talk about living out of a suitcase.

At Disney, I tried the biggest rollercoaster – California Screamin’ – and loved it.  It’s my favorite ride ever.

In San Diego, more Zoo, Sea World, Padres, Wild Animal Park, and tried go-karts and mini-golf.  The go-karts were my favorite outside of feeding my friends at the zoo.

I had so much fun – I cried when it was all over.  But Daddy will work and fill up his wallet again so I can spend it all again next year in San Diego.

First Stop – get ready for fun!  My monorail takes me everywhere!

We went to Fantasyland, where I mad Daddy really dizzy with the tea cups.  I like to spin, and spin, and spin.

Next, some time on Casey Jr.  While I like the really fast rides now, sometimes it’s good just to slow down, relax, and enjoy the slower rides I used to enjoy when I was just 4.

Over lunch, we got to play hide and seek

I got found.

When it gets hot and crowded, we take a rest in the amination amnimation ammynation

cartoon building.

Refreshed for the evening.

Waiting for Fantasmic.

A very pretty evening.

Get up early, and you too can have the whole place to yourself.

Lunchtime

a.k.a.

Feed the ducks time

Indy after lunch – The signs suggest that bad things are about to happen.  I still look for the diamond stones on the floor – they trigger poison arrows.

Daddy and I got to ride the brand new RED Monorail!

Safety goggles for my first time on Toy Story Midway Mania.

More time on Big Thunder Mountain

Mommy and I pose in a big circle outside California Adventure.  Rumor has it this will be our last chance to see the big letters.

Staying cool while in line.

Daddy and I – another quiet morning with lots of rides and no lines.

I’m getting old enough to stay up late and take in all the pretty lights.

The next day, nap time strikes while in a big Lego.

A big family picture of us on Splash Mountain.  I’m having more fun than it looks – It’s one of my favorites.

We soon left Disneyland (Way too soon), and went to the Wild Animal Park.  I fed a Lorikeet.

I goosed a deer.

We took a tour.  Our tourguide Kat asked me a whole lot of questions.  I knew most of them.

Getting quizzed was worth it – I got to see my friends and feed them.

After the feeding, we all took a break.  They were all looking in the wrong direction.

We watched the seven baby lions play – they like to tackle one another.

Daddy – Can I go  play in the sand?

More fun at the Wild Animal Park – This time we get Mommy, Nikki, and Justin's view

I met my friends Nico and Alex at the zoo.  Daddy counted three more monkeys than I did.

We all had a very good time.

Daddy – I got a tickle in my ear.

I met an octopus that was bigger than I am!

Fun with the whales outside the Birch Aquarium.

More fun at the Padre games.  Daddy and I saw 6 more games.  They won 2 and lost 4, so a pretty dismal season.  However, there were some fun times.

Food's pretty good!

We rode the trolley to the game most of the time.

Then back to Disneyland.

Just Daddy and I this time, which means we wake at dawn and stay until closing.

Some Splash Mountain in the morning.  I need windshield wipers for my glasses.

ALWAYS.

ALWAYS.

ALWAYS.

Haunted Mansion.

I know it all by heart.

That night, Daddy and I took some pretty pictures.

Next morning (our last at Disneyland), we got up at the crack of dawn for more fun.

Daddy made me try one ride – A super fast California Screamin roller coaster.  I wasn’t so sure I would like it, but when I got off it was my favorite.  I made Daddy ride a couple more times.

Hard to play Buzz when you can’t see over the dash!

More of the same from the Padres. Great seats in the first row over the dugout. Peavy was great for 7 innings, then they lost it late.

At least I got to meet the Friar.

The next morning, I talked Daddy into riding Journey to Atlantis at Sea World first thing (cold!) Daddy wasn't listening, and we found ourselves in the front row.

After buying a towel and a change of clothes, we were still shivering for Breakfast with Shamu.

Daddy!

I really love spending time with both the dolphins and the Shamus.

Another Padre game. Fortunately, the held on and won a pretty good game.

To celebrate, we went out to dinner with some friends. My friends had the biscuits.

I really really love this part.

So, a hippo, a llama, and a giraffe walk into a bar.....

(I kept the tall jokes to a minimum)

Ready to return. Anytime!
